The Entry Level Direct Sales Associate position at Summit Business Group is designed for individuals with at least 5 years of full-time work experience in any field. This role focuses on building relationships with small to medium-sized businesses, where the associate will engage directly with clients to promote and sell insurance solutions. The position emphasizes a proactive approach, autonomy, and the ability to connect with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Make daily in-person sales calls to small and medium-sized businesses in your territory.
  • Build strong professional relationships and establish trust and rapport with customers.
  • Connect with key decision makers at these businesses and schedule appointments to present supplemental benefits programs.
  • Report daily sales stats at the end of each day.
  • Submit your work schedule and goals to the team leader at the beginning of each week.
  • Attend business networking events in your territory to accumulate new leads and referrals.
  • Re-service existing client accounts periodically and systematically.
  • Enter business client information weekly into CRM.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of previous full-time work experience in any profession.
  • Ability to connect with clients and understand their needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to sales.
