About the position
The Entry Level Diesel Service Technician is responsible for providing technical service to vehicles and equipment while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves various tasks such as cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and the installation of parts, all while adhering to safety standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
- Read job orders and observe vehicles in operation to determine malfunctions and plan work procedures.
- Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, making adjustments as needed.
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
- Attend training classes and stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 1 year of fleet, dealership, and/or technical school experience.
