About the position

Dewberry is seeking an Entry Level Site/Civil Engineer to join their Site/Civil Department in Charlotte, NC. This role involves working on various projects for clients in both the private and public municipal sectors, focusing on site/civil design for commercial and industrial developments, as well as capital improvement projects related to water, wastewater, and roadways. The position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates to apply their skills in a collaborative environment and utilize the latest technology to address complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

• Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
• Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
• Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Conducting code research, writing specifications, and obtaining permitting.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
• Previous internship experience is desired.
• EIT is strongly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with Water CAD and Storm CAD is a plus.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
