Dewberry is currently seeking an Entry Level Site / Civil Engineer to join our Site/Civil Department in our Panama City, FL office. Typical projects include site/civil design for commercial and industrial site development, capital improvement projects, water and wastewater systems, and roadway design. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of site/civil development, including grading design, roadway design, stormwater management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design. You will also prepare associated calculations, reports, and spreadsheets, and work on design teams to develop detailed design documents for construction plans. Additionally, you may conduct code research, write specifications, and obtain necessary permitting.

Responsibilities

  • Site/civil development including grading design, roadway design, storm water management systems design, and erosion and sediment control design.
  • Preparation of all associated calculations, reports and spreadsheets.
  • Working on design teams in all aspects of a given project to develop detailed design documents for construction plans.
  • Conducting code research, writing specifications, and obtaining permitting.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering is required.
  • Previous internship experience is desired.
  • EIT is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is required.
  • Experience with Water CAD and Storm CAD is a plus.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
