About the position

As an Entry-Level DevOps Site Reliability Engineer, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to the continuous improvement and support of customer-facing products. This role is designed for individuals who are eager to learn and grow within the field of DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering. You will be responsible for collecting system requirements, which involves understanding the needs of various stakeholders and translating them into actionable tasks. Your role will also focus on improving existing tools and processes through scripting and automation, which is essential for enhancing efficiency and reliability in our systems. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be involved in building, deploying, testing, and supporting systems in both lab environments and production datacenters. This hands-on experience will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the entire lifecycle of system management and operations. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with IT, Development, and Product Management teams across the business. This cross-functional teamwork will not only enhance your technical skills but also improve your ability to communicate effectively with various departments. This position is ideal for recent graduates or individuals with equivalent work experience who are looking to kickstart their careers in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering. Responsibilities

  • Collect system requirements from stakeholders.
  • Improve existing tools and processes through scripting and automation.
  • Build, deploy, test, and support systems in lab environments and production datacenters.
  • Collaborate with IT, Development, and Product Management teams across the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, CIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with virtualization, scripting and automation, server hardware, and/or network communications desired.
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux server operating systems preferred.
  • Preferred programming and scripting languages include: SQL, PowerShell, Python, Bash, C/C++, C#.
  • Preferred industry standard certifications include: A+, Server+, Security+, Linux+, Network+, CCNA, MCSA.
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn and apply new skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
