Responsibilities
- Assist registered Engineers in developing designs, plans and specifications for construction ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
- Perform structural design calculations for projects of varying complexity using hand calculations, analysis software, and other accepted methods.
- Perform periodic field inspections for data collection and to confirm structures are being constructed in accordance with the design.
- Assist in generating engineering reports.
- Create drawings using Bentley MicroStation and Autodesk Civil 3D or Revit.
- Perform bridge inspections and load ratings, with periodic travel required.
- Ensure SRF's quality procedures are maintained for all work.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum B.S. in civil engineering with a structural emphasis; master's degree in structural engineering is a plus.
- 0 - 2 years of experience in structural engineering.
- Experience with CAD is a plus.
- EIT Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Excellent communication skills.
