We are looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join our ICE Team to improve infrastructure in our Michigan offices. This position is designed for individuals who have recently graduated with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and have zero to three years of experience. The ideal candidate will have completed Part I of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and possess knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and Bluebeam Revu, although these are preferred qualifications rather than strict requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role, as the position involves significant coordination with various stakeholders. In this role, you will be responsible for designing electrical installation and protective relaying and control (PR&C) components for electrical substation projects. Your work will include substation equipment layout, detailed electrical installation design, and PR&C design steel design, all in accordance with governing industry codes and standards. The position requires periods of intense concentration and offers a hybrid work environment, allowing you to work in a normal office setting, fully remote, or a combination of both. While the role requires infrequent travel, it provides frequent exposure to electrical design standards and codes, including IEEE, NFPA, NEC, and NESC. As part of the ICE Team, you will engage in high voltage substation design, prepare various electrical diagrams and plans, perform complex engineering calculations, and assist in the preparation of proposals and project documents. You will also attend site visits, client meetings, and training seminars, all while maintaining excellent client relations and a safe working environment.
