The Entry-Level Tax Associate position at Dauby O'Connor & Zaleski, LLC (DOZ) is designed for recent graduates looking to start their career in tax preparation and client services within the affordable housing sector. The role involves preparing various tax returns and working closely with experienced professionals to deliver high-quality service to clients. The position also emphasizes professional development through training and support for CPA exam preparation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare partnership, individual, personal property tax, and corporate tax returns.
- Work directly with Members, Principals, and Managers in the tax department.
- Provide high levels of client service and quality reporting as part of the engagement team.
- Participate in various committees related to recruiting, retention, wellness, and training.
- Assist in the training, development, and evaluation of audit interns.
- Attend in-house Continuing Professional Education (CPE) courses to enhance knowledge of GAAP and industry-specific information.
- Work towards passing the CPA Exam with support from DOZ's CPA Exam Policy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or an advanced degree in accounting from an accredited university.
- CPA credentials or progress towards completion of the CPA exam.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
