About the position
As a Seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparer at Jackson Hewitt, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with their tax-related needs. This position focuses on providing expert guidance, preparing accurate tax forms, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. You will engage directly with clients to ease their stress during tax season, offering exceptional customer service and support throughout the tax preparation process.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance and explain tax-related forms to clients.
- Prepare and complete accurate tax returns, including multiyear and multistate forms.
- Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients.
- Complete E-filing and provide printed copies of returns for client review.
- Generate business growth and increase client retention.
- Provide IRS audit support to clients.
- Ensure compliance with tax legislation and regulations in all related forms.
- Process clients' payments and ensure timely deposits.
- Engage in marketing and business generation efforts.
- Answer client calls and provide future tax planning advice.
- Resolve client complaints or refer to supervisors as necessary.
- Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements
- Passion for providing extraordinary customer service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer functions and math.
- Sales and/or marketing experience.
- Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax preferred.
- PTIN Certification.

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
