About the position
As a teacher at Success Academy, you will be part of New York City's largest and highest-performing network of public charter schools. This role is designed for passionate individuals who want to make a significant impact on the lives of children from low-income neighborhoods. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing timely feedback and support.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain a productive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and behavioral issues.
- Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administration to support student success.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree before your first day of work with Success Academy (a background in education is not required).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for learning and commitment to student development.
- Ability to work in person in New York City.
Nice-to-haves
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
