About the position

The Environment of Care Program Manager is responsible for overseeing the Environment of Care and related functions at Saddleback Medical Center. This role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing emergency preparedness, and leading performance improvement initiatives. The manager will chair the Environment of Care Committee and develop policies to maintain a safe and compliant healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the oversight and educate staff on the Environment of Care and related functions.
  • Consolidate and report findings from Environment of Care Surveillance Rounds.
  • Devise and implement corrective action plans in coordination with department management.
  • Maintain and process reports and documentation for safety management programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant government codes and building safety requirements.
  • Lead disaster planning, mitigation, response, and recovery efforts.
  • Function as the default Incident Commander during the activation of the hospital's Incident Command System.
  • Interact with internal and external resources for disaster planning.

Requirements

  • Full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Saddleback Medical Center.

  • Experience in safety management and emergency management programs.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.

Nice-to-haves
