Responsibilities

  • Manage and direct the efforts of Company subject matter experts to meet environmental regulatory, Company and operational responsibilities and compliance objectives.
  • Provide regulatory, legislative and project analysis and determinations for applicable environmental laws and requirements.
  • Establish relationships and routinely meets with regulatory agencies (Federal, State and Local) to advocate company positions and negotiate favorable requirements.
  • Identify critical issues that could impact the utilities and develop strategies to address those issues.
  • Supervise the performance and workload of discipline subject matter experts.
  • Conduct the review and research on utility industry trends in meeting the requirements of new and existing environmental regulations.
  • Provide environmental training, oversight and governance of tools, programs and standards to manage environmental risk.
  • Provide employee and team support through coaching, developing and mentoring.
  • Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
