About the position

The position involves developing, reviewing, and editing documents and presentations to ensure they adhere to agency style guides and publication standards. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and the specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields. Additionally, the role includes preparing, reviewing, and coordinating executive-level correspondence, as well as developing senior executive-level papers, briefings, and technical documentation. The candidate will also be tasked with developing methods or procedures such as checklists and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Furthermore, the position requires independent, proactive surveillance and inspection of program operations, utilizing practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in areas such as quality assurance, procurement, inspection, and production. The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal oversight and direction, demonstrating expert-level proficiency in the Task Management Tool (TMT) and proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, review, and edit documents and presentations with proper grammar adhering to agency style guides and publication standards.
  • Ensure language presentation is consistent with prescribed style guides and specialized vocabulary of subject matter fields.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate executive-level correspondence.
  • Develop senior executive-level papers, briefings, and/or technical documentation.
  • Develop methods or procedures such as checklists and SOPs.
  • Provide independent, proactive surveillance and inspection of program operations.
  • Utilize practical knowledge in monitoring, controlling, or maintaining the quality of products or services in quality assurance, procurement, inspection, production, or related areas.
  • Work independently with minimal oversight and direction.
  • Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in Task Management Tool (TMT).
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and TEAMS.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree.
  • 6 years of experience in Hazardous Material Management, Pollution Prevention, EPRCA, Radon, and Emerging Chemicals.
  • 10+ years of direct experience overseeing administrative support, executing requirements, and delivering services to DoD and/or Federal Agencies.
  • At least 1 year of specialized experience providing environmental compliance management and execution support.
