About The Position

The Environmental Compliance Manager at Norfolk Southern is responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with environmental regulations across various media. Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in environmental compliance or related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field is required.
• Master's Degree is preferred.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations such as CWA, RCRA, and CAA.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Professional Environmental Auditor certification is preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred.
• Experience with Environmental Management Information Systems, particularly SAP.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain environmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Oversee the Environmental Audit Program, developing protocols and tracking corrective actions.
• Lead corporate-wide environmental compliance training programs for personnel.
• Monitor compliance for all NS-owned pipelines and maintain BMP plans and service contracts.
• Review customer requests for transporting or transloading new commodities and determine compliance protocols.
