Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement environmental programs under general supervision.
  • Coordinate and maintain environmental initiatives within the city department.
  • Conduct compliance monitoring, inspections, and audits related to air and water quality.
  • Manage hazardous and non-hazardous waste operations.
  • Develop and report emission inventories.
  • Prepare permits and write reports related to environmental compliance.
  • Conduct public presentations and coordinate events involving public participation.
  • Analyze GIS data for environmental assessments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Architectural, Engineering, Environmental or Natural Science field.
  • 2 years of experience in environmental areas such as ISO 14001 programs, compliance monitoring, or hazardous waste management.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Nice-to-haves
