About the position

Apple is seeking an Environmental Data Analyst to support environmental reporting and program development across its worldwide facilities. This role involves leading data collection, validation, and integrity efforts for environmental data, monitoring progress towards environmental goals, and providing insights through analysis and communication. The ideal candidate will work closely with various teams within Apple to enhance the software tools used for organizing and reporting environmental data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the data collection, validation, and integrity efforts for environmental data across worldwide Apple facilities.
• Monitor Apple's progress towards environmental goals for energy, waste, water, and other metrics.
• Support data assurance and reporting processes.
• Provide valuable insights to environmental programs through analysis and internal communication.
• Collaborate with the Global Energy & Sustainability Team and cross-functionally with Real Estate, Environmental Policy, EH&S, Data Center, and Retail teams.
• Work with internal software experts to improve the software tools used for environmental data reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to Environmental or Energy Management, Data Science, or a similar field.
• 5 years of professional experience, or a Master's Degree and 2 years of professional experience.
• Experience with energy and environmental data analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills.
• Advanced skills with data analysis and visualization tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, etc.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of greenhouse gas protocols, Carbon Disclosure Project, and other sustainability reporting standards.
• Experience leading data collection and quality assurance/quality control.
• Ability to guide decision-making with data analysis and communication.
• Strong organization and documentation skills with great attention to detail.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate with several teams and vendors globally.
