About the position

As the Environmental Data Lead at Actalent, you will serve as the central point of contact for cross-functional collaboration with various teams including Sustainability, Operations, Facilities, Transportation, Products, and Retail. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the development and maintenance of our greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions accounting governance program. This role involves coordinating the annual data collection process to accurately develop our GHG footprint, ensuring that all data is validated and recorded in compliance with established frameworks such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) and relevant regulatory requirements. You will be tasked with selecting and harmonizing emission factors, updating and validating them according to the evolving needs of the business. Additionally, you will inform the development of technological tools that facilitate data collection and footprint calculation. Conducting re-baseline assessments will also be part of your responsibilities, as you collaborate with the Global Sustainability Tech and Science teams to enhance tool functionality and integrate knowledge effectively. Effective communication of program status and GHG information across the organization will be crucial in this role, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged in sustainability initiatives. This position is fully remote, allowing you to support our efforts in a flexible work environment while contributing to the sustainability goals of our clients, including Amazon.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in coordinating data collection and entry processes.
  • Strong knowledge of GHG emissions accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in data validation techniques.
  • Familiarity with framework compliance, particularly with GHGP.
  • Ability to harmonize emission factors and update them as needed.
