About the position

The Environmental Data Specialist's primary responsibilities will be to work with internal and external teams to gather and deliver data necessary for various Environmental Accounting and Sustainability measuring and reporting requirements. This includes supporting the annual corporate environmental metrics data inventory, which encompasses water, energy, and Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions. The specialist will gather, collect, and deliver the accurate value chain emissions data to our third party, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and traceability. Additionally, the role involves supporting the improvement of environmental metric data collection processes, procedures, and controls, collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver targeted data analytics to inform data-driven decision-making, and managing other compliance programs as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal and external teams to gather and deliver data for Environmental Accounting and Sustainability reporting requirements.
  • Support the annual corporate environmental metrics data inventory, including water, energy, and greenhouse gas emissions.
  • Gather and deliver accurate value chain emissions data to third parties.
  • Evaluate and ensure data integrity, accuracy, completeness, and traceability.
  • Support the improvement of environmental metric data collection processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver data analytics for decision-making.
  • Manage other compliance programs as necessary.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently on multiple projects with minimal supervision.
  • Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proven ability to collect, analyze, and compile data and provide results for review.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.
  • Team player with strong project management and multitasking experience.
  • Open mind and eagerness to learn/train on Environmental Accounting.
