About the position

Kleinfelder is seeking a new graduate Environmental Engineer, Scientist, or Geologist to join their Environmental team in Southern California. This role involves fieldwork and the collection of environmental data from various sites undergoing assessment and remediation. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to a variety of environmental projects under direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Collect groundwater and soil samples from various sites.
  • Install monitoring wells and identify sensitive receptors.
  • Analyze and interpret analytical data and author technical reports.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Oversee stormwater, air quality, and water quality management.
  • Progress sites towards regulatory closure and document scientific investigations.

Requirements

  • 0-3 years of experience in a related field.
  • B.S. degree in geology, engineering, or the sciences.
  • Strong technical background in geology or engineering.
  • Ability to provide technical support on projects.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • OSHA 40HR HAZWOPER training.

Nice-to-haves

  • E.I.T (Engineer in Training) certification preferred.
