Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-operational inspections at public water facilities.
  • Conduct assessments and provide technical rankings for community water system applications seeking financial support through the PENNVEST program.
  • Offer guidance to owners and operators of public water systems regarding the Pennsylvania Safe Drinking Water Act.

Requirements

  • Four years of professional experience in environmental engineering and possession of a valid Engineer-in-Training certificate or a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board.
  • Three years of professional experience in environmental engineering and a bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or a related field with 9 credits in environmental engineering.
  • Graduate study in environmental engineering may substitute for required experience on a year-for-year basis.
