About the position

The Environmental Engineer at Reworld will play a crucial role in supporting various high-level projects focused on sustainability, policy, and environmental compliance. This position involves tasks such as greenhouse gas reporting, lifecycle assessment, and sustainability reporting, while also providing support to sales teams and engaging in community outreach efforts.

Responsibilities

• Support greenhouse gas reporting, analysis, and lifecycle assessment (LCA).
• Assist in permitting efforts and environmental compliance management systems.
• Manage sustainability reporting, including corporate reports and CDP indices.
• Provide support for sales teams on sustainability-related services.
• Develop resources for education, outreach, and communication on environmental topics.
• Participate in community outreach through presentations and events with stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in relevant engineering (chemical, mechanical, environmental) or science (biology, chemistry, environmental science).
• 1 - 3 years of experience as an environmental or sustainability professional.
• Experience in the waste management industry and combustion and air pollution control technology.
• Familiarity with environmental and operational data management systems.
• Knowledge of lifecycle analysis and carbon/greenhouse gas emission accounting.
• Research experience on sustainability topics, particularly climate, energy, and waste management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
