About the position

The Environmental Field Technician role involves supporting the company's operations by collecting and delivering various environmental samples while adhering to strict safety and operational guidelines. The position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and maintaining effective communication with clients and internal management.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently collect and retrieve samples, delivering them to the laboratory.
• Provide exceptional customer service while promoting the company's brand through professional interactions with clients.
• Perform field analysis pertinent to proper sampling protocol such as pH, temperature, air quality monitoring equipment, and flow meters.
• Maintain sample collection equipment and instrumentation.
• Ensure legal documentation is complete and accurate, including Chain of Custody Forms.
• Maintain regular communication with internal management regarding samples, schedules, customer requirements, problems, delays, and/or complaints.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED).
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Willingness to drive long distances and accommodate overnight stays.
• Ability to lift and carry coolers weighing 50+ lbs.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous sampling experience.
• Familiarity with and ability to operate equipment such as testing meters and air sampling pumps.

Benefits

• Full-time position with a salary range of $48,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year.
• 40 hours per week with various shifts including day, evening, weekend, and rotation.
