About the position

Pentagram's New York office is seeking a full-time Environmental Graphics Designer to focus on signage and exhibition design projects. The role involves collaboration with the design team and project management to develop projects from concept through implementation, ensuring effective communication with clients and coordination with architects and fabricators.

Responsibilities

• Work under the Partner in collaboration with the Design Team to help develop projects from concept through implementation and support the design process at all stages
• Work with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, deliverables, and contracts
• Work independently through design details, lead coordination with Architects and sub-consultants, and be the day-to-day contact for clients on select projects
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment
• Create full design documentation drawing sets and coordinate with Fabricators through the fabrication and installation process
• Develop sign location plans and message schedules as needed
• Ensure knowledge of ADA accessibility standards and code signage requirements is applied where necessary

Requirements

• Proficient in Rhino and Adobe CC
• Proficient in a rendering program (preferably Keyshot, C4D, and or Enscape) to generate renderings for concept presentations
• Strong typographic skills
• Experience with exhibition detailing; including casework and integration of lighting and media components
• Knowledge of fabrication techniques and material standards
• 2-4 years' experience in Graphic Design, Environmental Design, Architecture or related discipline in a similar role
• Ability to travel
