About the position

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Business Operation Manager at Google is responsible for managing and optimizing the EHS third-party supplier portfolio, ensuring the delivery of critical objectives related to safety and resilience. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing contract management, and developing tools and processes to enhance financial and supplier management practices within the EHS team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to manage and maintain the EHS third-party supplier portfolio.
  • Coordinate and monitor supplier contracting and onboarding efforts.
  • Support EHS team members with the development of SOWs, SLAs, and KPIs for complex EHS service engagements.
  • Draft, review, and finalize contracts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee global EHS funding requests, purchase orders, and budget tracking.
  • Develop tools, resources, and processes to monitor and optimize EHS financial and supplier management practices.
  • Manage cross-functional projects, identifying risks and opportunities to improve new and existing programs and initiatives.
  • Independently execute on contracting and budgeting initiatives.
  • Develop data analytics to provide insights into change management decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in science or business related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience managing projects, programs, and initiatives.
  • 2 years of experience in contract management, including managing end-to-end contract lifecycle.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with managing third-party strategic partners from both strategic and operational perspectives.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline operational efficiency.
  • Ability to identify key issues, gather and analyze financial data to support decisions and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and visual presentation skills.
  • Excellent data-driven, problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills exhibited in a complex operational setting.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $105,000-$154,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
