About the position

The Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator at Allied Employer Group, Inc. is responsible for promoting workplace safety by conducting safety inspections, training employees, and developing safety policies. This role involves analyzing safety incidents, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The coordinator will work closely with management and employees to foster a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct root cause analysis of safety incidents and accidents to identify contributing factors and develop corrective actions.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety incidents, including descriptions of the event, investigation findings, and recommended preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including DOT.
  • Provide safety training to employees on topics such as hazard identification, emergency response, and safe work practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training sessions, and other safety-related activities, including DOT.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to workplace safety.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and writing detailed reports.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (OSHA, ANSI, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in using computer software for report writing and data analysis.
