About the position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team at Apple is seeking a dedicated and flexible professional to support Corporate & Retail functions. This role involves managing EHS due diligence for various transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and real estate deals, while ensuring the safety and environmental compliance of operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive technical expertise and experience in EHS program development and implementation, as well as strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Drive completion of EHS due diligence for retail and corporate real estate deals, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and investments.
  • Manage outside consultants and vendors to ensure timely completion of due diligence projects.
  • Assess key EHS due diligence findings and communicate implications to management and project teams.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for EHS in preparing and negotiating agreements with external partners.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Evaluate and support EHS program development at existing sites and new facilities, including soil and groundwater management and hazardous materials management.
  • Partner with EHS site leads to integrate corporate EHS policy into local operations.
  • Lead EHS due diligence record keeping and program documentation.
  • Support corporate EHS initiatives, including metrics and activity updates.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of EHS or related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • Experience in developing and implementing written EHS programs and processes
  • Experience handling EHS due diligence assessments, including Phase I and Phase II site assessments

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree in a science or related field
