About the position

The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator is responsible for implementing and overseeing the company's EHS policies and compliance with various regulatory standards. This role involves managing documentation in EHS management systems, generating regulatory reports, and fostering a culture of safety and health within the organization. The coordinator will also lead continuous emissions monitoring and participate in incident management and risk reduction efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Implement the company's EHS policies and oversee documentation in EHS management systems.
  • Generate and submit regulatory reports and act as a liaison with regulatory agencies.
  • Manage the site's Continuous Emissions Monitor and Data Acquisition Systems.
  • Drive safety and health program improvements as part of the plant's OSHA VPP Star program.
  • Participate in incident investigations and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Engage in regulatory and internal audits and stay updated on EHS regulatory changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Clean Air Act programs, CEMS, and quality assurance activities is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative team player with a track record of consensus-building.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Resource Conservation And Recovery Act (RCRA) regulations.
  • Familiarity with EPA regulations and OSHA standards.
