About the position

Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Early Career Environmental Health and Safety Engineer. This role focuses on ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace by managing both operational and strategic aspects of the site's safety programs and the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) management system. The engineer will provide comprehensive services to maintain a safe and compliant workplace, addressing various safety and environmental areas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Manage operational and strategic aspects of safety programs.
• Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services.
• Focus on safety areas including Confined Spaces, Contractor Safety, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, Ladder Safety, Machine Guarding, and Environmental Compliance Programs.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA and/or EPA regulations.
• Experience in ESH subject areas.
• Ability to work on-call and varied shifts.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Strong written and communication skills.
• Experience in ESH subject areas, particularly Confined Spaces, Lock/Out Tag out, Electrical Safety, Hazardous Waste, process waste water, storm water and SPCC regulations.
