About The Position

We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join IQVIA Laboratories in Valencia, CA. As the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist, you will be managing and implementing site EHS policies and programs to ensure a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace. You will also be overseeing EHS programs across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with IQVIA Laboratories Corporate/Global EHS programs and applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 2-3 years' relevant experience in a site EHS role.
  • EHS experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Working regulatory knowledge of environmental and safety laws within multiple jurisdictions.
  • Certified Safety Professional and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (or equivalent certification) or eligible for certification.
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing EHS programs at business unit level for one or multiple sites to ensure compliance with IQVIA Laboratories Corporate EHS policies and regulatory obligations (e.g., US OSHA, UK HSE).
  • Ensuring corrective actions are implemented and documented in response to audits and reviews.
  • Maintaining site compliance calendar and verify timely completion of recurring compliance actions.
  • Training large groups on safety procedures and governing environmental laws.
  • Conducting or coordinating internal site risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify and assess risks.
  • Assisting teams with development and assignment of appropriate CAPAs.
  • Ensuring adequate management and training of EHS resources within the business.
  • Champion site EHS Committee implementation and support the Committee Chairperson.
