About the position

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Process Specialist at ATI Richland is responsible for sustaining the safety, health, and environmental programs within the facility. This role ensures compliance with all relevant regulations and fosters a culture of health and safety. The specialist will conduct audits, assist with regulatory compliance, and maintain training programs to support the EHS initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain the environmental, health and safety programs by establishing working relationships between all departments.
  • Monitor and ensure regulatory compliance with the environmental program, including reporting to regulatory agencies and managing hazardous waste.
  • Perform audits such as SWTES audits, IBMS surveillance, job hazard analysis, and ergonomic assessments.
  • Maintain and conduct EH&S related training to ensure compliance.
  • Utilize Continuous Improvement tools and participate in CI projects and events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and at least 5 years of highly industrial or manufacturing experience.
  • At least 2 years of work experience with structured environmental, health and safety.
  • In lieu of 5 years of experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or Public Health is acceptable.

  • Analytical and PC-based data management skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Sound judgment and ability to plan, organize, and control multiple activities within a team dynamic.
