About the position
The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist-Intermediate is responsible for coordinating a comprehensive program to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations. This role involves working under general supervision to promote a safe and healthy work environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement safety programs to ensure compliance with occupational safety and health regulations.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver training programs on safety practices and regulations.
- Maintain records and documentation related to safety compliance and incidents.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in environmental health and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH).
- Experience in conducting safety training and workshops.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance.
