About the position

The Environmental Health Software Program Project Implementation and Support Manager (PPM IV) is a special duty position within the Environmental Health Services (EHS) Division of Public Health - Seattle & King County. This role focuses on managing the implementation of a new permitting and licensing software, overseeing the Continuous Improvement team, and ensuring effective collaboration with King County Information Technology (KCIT) and external vendors. The position aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of environmental health operations, contributing to better public health outcomes in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the Continuous Improvement Team, including various specialists.
  • Oversee the implementation of the new Environmental Health permitting and licensing software.
  • Develop and execute strategies for smooth adoption of the new software across the division.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the software meets user needs.
  • Manage communications regarding project status and activities.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to the software transition.

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience in project management and software implementation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with GIS.
