About The Position

The Environmental Inspector (Water Quality) position is responsible for protecting public health and natural water resources by enforcing environmental regulations related to water quality discharges. This role involves conducting inspections, analyzing water samples, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job.
• One (1) year of related experience.
• Valid Driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections and document findings.
• Collect and analyze water samples from sanitary sewer and stormwater collection systems.
• Investigate complaints and enforce compliance and remediation as needed.
• Review plans and permit applications, assessing environmental risks and issuing permits as necessary.
• Create and issue letters of warning, notices of violation, and civil citations.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external parties as needed.
• Perform related work as assigned.
