About the position
The Environmental Manager will oversee environmental compliance and management activities within an automotive manufacturing setting. This role is crucial for ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and standards, particularly focusing on ISO14001 procedures. The manager will also be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies and budgets, as well as maintaining necessary environmental testing equipment.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental permits and compliance activities.
- Conduct environmental incident investigations.
- Maintain environmental testing equipment.
- Manage environmental strategy and budgets.
- Act as an interface between management and regulatory agencies.
- Prepare and manage contracts with suppliers and consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 10+ years of experience in environmental management.
- Experience with environmental procedures based on ISO14001.
- Start-up plant experience preferred.
