The Environmental Permitter Specialist position at TFMoran is an entry-level, full-time role focused on environmental permitting within a well-established surveying, engineering, and landscape architecture firm. The position involves gaining knowledge of environmental regulations, coordinating with agencies, preparing permit applications, and assessing wetlands, all while contributing to a collaborative work environment with a diverse project portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Gain an understanding of federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to commercial and residential land development.
- Coordinate with federal and state agencies to screen projects for sensitive threatened and endangered species and archaeological resources.
- Prepare and submit local and state environmental permit applications to municipal officials and regulatory agencies.
- Learn to identify and delineate wetlands for planning land development projects.
- Assess the overall functions and values of wetlands.
Requirements
- Background in conservation, environmental biology, environmental law, or natural resource protection.
- Sound technical writing and communication skills.
