About the position
The Environmental Project Manager at AECOM is responsible for managing a variety of industrial investigation and remediation projects. This role requires a strong focus on health and safety, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a high-performance team. The position involves overseeing project scope, schedule, and budget, while also building strong client relationships and ensuring quality control of tasks.
Responsibilities
- Managing scope, schedule, and budget for large-sized investigation/remediation projects
- Completing a variety of remedial designs
- Building strong client relationships
- Client and regulatory correspondence
- Technical report writing and review
- Analyzing and applying solutions to atypical and/or semi-complex and challenging issues
- Health and safety stewardship, including local field visits
- Preparing cost estimates and proposals
- Working effectively with project teams, clients, and all other stakeholders
- Coordinating work schedules with AECOM staff and subcontractors
- Responsible for quality control of tasks
- Mentoring project junior staff
- Regional travel for field visits
- Supervising up to 10 staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Engineering or closely related field
- 2+ years of direct project management experience on remediation projects
- Qualified applicants must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test and an MVR check
Nice-to-haves
- 8 years of experience as environmental remediation engineer in environmental consulting
- 4 years of project management experience
- PE license
- Experience working with environmental regulatory agencies
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training
