About the position

The Environmental Project Manager role at an established Environmental Science Company in Arvada, CO, is a contract-to-hire position focused on managing client communications and project details related to environmental sampling and analysis. The position requires a blend of project management skills and client service experience, ensuring timely updates and accurate reporting of sample results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all client communication on sample status and updates as they arise.
  • Field questions from clients regarding their projects.
  • Work with the lab to determine appropriate timelines for sample analysis and return to the client.
  • Complete a report of sample results once analysis is complete.
  • Manage, review, and record through LIMS for purchase orders, task orders, contracts, and change order requests.
  • Verify that lab compound lists and limits meet project requirements for new projects not quoted.
  • Communicate project details to operations.
  • Communicate any issues to clients for the duration of the project.
  • Create and issue final reports by client due date.
  • Review invoices, contracts, and purchase orders.
  • Take new quote requests from clients.
  • Work with CSM to communicate lab capabilities to the client.
  • Conduct follow-up calls and visits with clients.
  • Initiate project QAPP review with operations, QA, and subcontract labs as needed.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Chemistry/Sciences or related field
  • 1 year of client-relationship/customer service experience
  • Prefer some bench chemist or field experience
  • Requires additional lab training in methods and QA across multiple departments
