About the position

The Environmental Project Manager at Actalent is responsible for managing multiple environmental projects, ensuring compliance with NJDEP regulations, and delivering quality results. The role requires extensive knowledge of site remediation processes and the ability to oversee project tasks, coordinate team efforts, and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Complete Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other related environmental due diligence work products.
  • Assist in developing Quality Assurance Project Plans and Sample Scopes of Work.
  • Complete Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports utilizing NJDEP compliance options.
  • Conduct site assessment and remediation activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed as planned and scheduled.
  • Coordinate project tasks including administrative coordination, data management, budget development/monitoring, invoice review, subcontractor management, and report writing.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Coordinate efforts of team members and subcontractors to manage projects according to the approved scope of work.
  • Deliver quality products on time for leadership and client review as per the scope of work/proposal authorization.
  • Conduct field investigations and assessments.
  • Write and manage proposals.
  • Oversee, manage, and mentor staff.
  • Take overall responsibility for all portions of the services/reports managed and conducted, including text and appendices.
  • Communicate with team members, managers, and clients regarding scope-of-work and client expectations throughout the project's term.
  • Effectively communicate, understand, and complete project expectations in a timely and clear manner throughout the course of the project.
  • Provide solid recommendations and solutions to managers and clients while understanding and achieving overall project goals.
  • Identify and resolve project issues.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of NJDEP Regulations
  • Site-Remediation experience
  • LSRP License
  • An environmental science-related degree (minimum of Bachelor's degree)
  • Project management skills
  • Soil sampling experience
  • Groundwater sampling experience
  • Experience with UST removals
  • Site assessment experience
  • HAZWOPER certification
  • A book of business is a plus
