About the position

The Environmental Project Manager will oversee environmental fieldwork, manage contractors, and analyze data related to soil and groundwater conditions. This role is crucial for executing hydrogeologic studies and preparing detailed reports to model contamination transport in various environmental media.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork involving sampling of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media.
• Supervise and direct environmental contractors, including drillers, during the sampling process and the installation of soil borings and monitoring well networks.
• Perform hydrogeologic studies to determine aquifer yields and groundwater conditions.
• Analyze and evaluate field data, tabulating results, and composing detailed technical reports.
• Determine subsurface strata and characterize groundwater aquifers by drafting cross-sections and contouring groundwater gradient maps.
• Apply knowledge of chemical properties to model contamination transport through various environmental media (e.g., clays, sands, bedrock).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project goals are met effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of hydrogeology, including aquifer yield studies and groundwater characterization.
• Proficiency in drafting cross-sections and contouring groundwater gradient maps.
• Expertise in soil and groundwater sampling methodologies and environmental fieldwork procedures.
• Familiarity with the movement of chemicals through various environmental media and the ability to model contamination transport.
• Experience managing contractors and coordinating field activities.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to generate clear, concise technical reports.
• Attention to detail and the ability to manage complex environmental projects.
