About the position

The Environmental Project Manager will oversee a variety of projects related to site development, transportation, energy, climate adaptation, and resiliency. This role involves managing permitting processes at various governmental levels, preparing necessary documentation, coordinating fieldwork, and interacting with clients and stakeholders. The position requires a strong focus on project management, including budget oversight and support for proposals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage permitting projects at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Prepare permit applications, scientific reports, and environmental impact statements.
  • Coordinate field work and direct technical staff.
  • Interact with clients, stakeholders, and contractors.
  • Manage budgets, invoicing, accounts receivable, and schedules.
  • Support proposals and cost estimates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, planning, or related field.
  • 5 to 15 years of post-degree environmental permitting experience in New Jersey.
  • Familiarity with NEPA documentation including ENFs, EIRs, CATEXs, EAs, and EISs.
  • Experience with sustainability and climate adaptation and resiliency planning.
  • Experience with socioeconomic and environmental justice analysis.
  • Ability to travel for project demands and business development.
