Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough interviews to collect evidence.
  • Coordinate evidence collection activities such as photography, sampling, and surveillance.
  • Perform site visits and serve documents on businesses and individuals.
  • Assist departmental staff with inspections and investigative efforts.
  • Coordinate investigations with agencies like the federal Environmental Protection Agency and others.
  • Support other investigators with search warrants and organize evidence.

Requirements

  • One year of experience as a journey-level specialist in a waste management program.
  • Two years of experience in environmental protection and a bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.
  • A master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of required experience.
  • Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions.
