About the position
The Senior Remediation Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing remediation strategies for contaminated sites. This role requires a strong background in environmental engineering, particularly in site assessment and project management, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while leading project teams.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments, including soil, groundwater, and sediment sampling
- Develop and implement remediation plans for contaminated sites
- Oversee project management activities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and project teams
- Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies
- Stay updated on the latest developments in environmental regulations and remediation technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in environmental remediation
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
- Strong knowledge of remediation technologies and environmental regulations
- Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in environmental modeling software and Microsoft Office Suite
