About the position
As an Environmental Remediation Intern at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in supporting teams on critical environmental projects. This internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in a related field, providing hands-on experience in environmental services, including fieldwork and data analysis. You will work closely with project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers to deliver innovative solutions that address real-life challenges in environmental remediation.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services.
- Plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance.
- Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts.
- Conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets.
- Create technical reports documenting completed activities and results.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Must be at least a rising Junior.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to perform field work.
- United States Citizenship.
- Ability to work in one of the preferred locations for this internship (St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO) or other Central or Midwest US locations based on project needs.

- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for role.
