About the position
As an Environmental Remediation Intern at Jacobs, you will play a crucial role in supporting project teams in delivering environmental services. This internship offers hands-on experience in field activities, data analysis, and technical reporting, contributing to real-world environmental challenges. You will work closely with a team of professionals in a supportive environment, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Assist project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services.
- Plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance.
- Prepare scopes of work for subcontracts.
- Conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets.
- Create technical reports documenting completed activities and results.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related field.
- Must be at least a rising Junior.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Willingness to perform field work.
- United States Citizenship.
Nice-to-haves
- 3.0 GPA or higher.
- A previous internship related to your field of study.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management within Jacobs.
- Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain 40-hour hazardous waste operations and emergency response (HAZWOPER) training and current 8-hour HAZWOPER refresher class, if needed for role.
