About the position
The Environmental Remediation Practice Leader is a senior role focused on managing client development and leading innovative projects in environmental remediation. This position involves developing remediation strategies, regulatory interpretation, and implementing solutions for complex environmental challenges. The leader will work with a diverse client base, including industrial, institutional, and governmental clients, and will play a key role in expanding the practice through business development and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Developing remedial strategies and site-specific closure strategies.
- Performing remediation alternatives analysis, feasibility studies, and technology selection.
- Conducting remedy implementation cost-benefit analysis and reserve estimating.
- Building and stewarding client relationships to secure repeat business.
- Managing challenging technical projects and expanding current practices through business development.
- Mentoring junior staff and managing subcontractors.
- Preparing for and participating in meetings with clients and regulatory personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, chemical, or environmental preferred), geology, or related sciences field.
- At least 10 years of direct environmental consulting experience, with 15+ years preferred.
- Experience managing project delivery, including planning, financial management, and risk management.
- Experience building multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Demonstrated success in client development and management.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
