About the position

The Environmental Remediation Project Engineer will lead and manage design teams to implement innovative remediation solutions for various contaminants in soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air. This role requires expertise in multi-state, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations, and involves collaboration across teams to ensure compliance and effective project management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support remedial and process engineering projects and teams.
  • Evaluate data from aquifer tests, pilot studies, bench testing, sampling events, and modeling to develop remedial strategies.
  • Prepare, review, and mentor others in the development of design basis, technology selection, and design plans, specifications, and reports.
  • Communicate with regulatory personnel and permitting agencies to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable regulations.
  • Provide project and client management from small dry cleaners/gas stations to complex industrial facilities and major federal facilities.
  • Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and long-term projections for remediation projects.
  • Provide technical assistance to teams working across multiple offices, problem-solving, mentoring, and leading by example.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an ABET-accredited college in Civil, Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering.
  • 7-15 years of experience required.
  • P.E. required.
  • Hands-on experience with remediation technologies for soil, groundwater, stormwater, and air for a wide range of contaminants.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Ability to travel overnight.
