About the position

The Environmental Research Analyst at Actalent is responsible for understanding the chemical properties and environmental impact of various substances. This role involves collaboration with expert witnesses to ensure safety programs are robust and compliant with regulatory standards. The analyst will lead initiatives to influence external perceptions of environmental safety and will also engage in project management, advising clients on litigation and regulatory matters.

Responsibilities

• Understand chemical physical/chemical properties and their environmental impact.
• Collaborate with expert witnesses on environmental safety endpoints.
• Lead external influencing activities on environmental safety of products and waste streams.
• Advise on acceptance of methods and models by regulators.
• Practice project management skills and advise clients in litigation and regulatory matters.

Requirements

• Master or PhD degree in science or engineering discipline.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong collaboration skills across functions and geographies.
• Adaptability and flexibility with a strong learning capability.
• Previous environmental lab experience on environmental safety assays.
