About the position

Join our dynamic team as a Water Asset Manager, where you will be responsible for inspecting water asset valves, hydrants, meters, and water meter boxes for leakage. Using headphones and acoustic sensors, you will listen for leaks and notify the Project Manager of possible issues. Your role includes traveling to job sites, working outdoors in various weather conditions, and using phone apps for mapping. You will also manage non-revenue water recovery and control services, conduct safety meetings, and maintain equipment. This position requires travel, with potential assignments across multiple states, and offers long-term opportunities to progress into GIS-heavy roles or Project Management. This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site and some remote days. The work environment is based in Illinois, allowing for remote work when not on-site. You will report to the job site daily, working either 5 8-hour days or 4 10-hour days per week. Travel is required approximately 50% of the time, with assignments potentially lasting up to two weeks. A company vehicle and phone will be provided, and you will be supported by a dynamic team, reporting to the operations manager in North Carolina and other project managers as required.
