Environmental Service Tech - Full Time

About the position

The position is a full-time role that requires the individual to know, understand, incorporate, and demonstrate the Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Behaviors of Trinity Health and Trinity Senior Living Communities in their behaviors, practices, and decisions. The individual will consistently demonstrate Sanctuary Values to all internal and external customers, creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth and calm throughout the community. The role involves executing assignments in a collaborative culture across all divisions within TSLC and following maintenance schedules and instructions as outlined in established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth throughout the community.
• Execute assignments in a collaborative culture across all divisions.
• Receive and follow maintenance schedule/instructions as outlined in established maintenance policies and procedures.
• Install shelving, make adjustments and repairs on cabinets, and repair/install cove base and handrails.
• Mount pictures, bulletin boards, and perform curtain rod and cubicle track repairs.
• Install, repair, and/or replace floor tile.
• Perform repairs on community equipment and minor kitchen equipment and HVAC.
• Repair drains utilizing enzymes and electric equipment including auger and air-operated clog remover.
• Repair faucets and other plumbing fixtures.
• Patch and repair roofs.
• Paint and refinish furniture and fixtures as assigned.
• Perform floor care including stripping, waxing, buffing, vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Calibrate thermostats and other minor pneumatic equipment and repairs.
• Repair and replace single-phase motors up to 120 volts.
• Repair and replace 120-volt switches and receptacles.
• Operate and test generator and perform preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Assure the grounds and community equipment are maintained in a clean, safe manner.
• Transport residents in a company vehicle to and from appointments, shopping, etc.
• Perform routine servicing of grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
• Follow established safety precautions, including fire safety, when performing tasks.
