About the position
The Environmental Service Technician at the Cancer Center is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in medical facilities on campus. This role emphasizes quality customer service and requires knowledge or a willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques. The technician will perform a variety of custodial duties under the direction of the Custodial Supervisor, ensuring a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks including dusting, sanitizing, and restocking dispensers.
- Clean and sanitize office furniture, breakrooms, restrooms, and locker rooms.
- Attend to emergency calls and perform snow removal from entrances and sidewalks.
- Maintain custodial areas and properly operate cleaning equipment.
- Assist with setup and teardown for special events.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or relevant custodial experience.
- A valid driver's license.
- Completion of a 10-panel urine drug screen within 60 days of start date.
- Proof of vaccinations and TB screening prior to start date.
